Morning at the lake. My favorite time. I took a weekday off to get out and enjoy time with almost nobody else out there.
These may be my favorite two pictures. Look from the front and back of the boat. It's about 3/4 of a mile away from the shore either way and no one around as far as I can see. For me a little slice of Heaven on earth.
I got over close to a small island and there was a red tail hawk that just kept circling around. Once again it's just me and the bird so I'm loving it.
After the hawk I was able to drift up pretty close to a blue heron. A stunning bird to see up close. I wish I could have caught a picture of it as it flew away but I wasn't quick enough.
Quietly making my way into a cove. There were several good size fish I could see going past the boat. I made my way along the shore but didn't see anything else worth taking a picture.
A map of my first trip. It's not exact I made this off USATF's map it program just to get an idea of how far I had gone. I left out the small coves I went through towards the end because it made it too confusing.
After I finished I realized I hadn't taken a pic of my new toy, so here it is after my first trip out.
